Film Festival Five is a themed online competition celebrating independent filmmakers worldwide. Themes and genres - rules and parameters - are given, often with a nod to the strange, the stuff of Cult Cinema, Grindhouse Horror, musicals and Science Fiction. At Film Festival Five we love the bizarre, the unique, the strange and hilarious. So join us, as we whittle down our favorite entries by the most talented indie filmmakers.

Indie filmmakers, novice and experienced alike, are welcome here, even relied upon, and we're bent on giving you that outlet to create something fantastic, to make Official Selection, to be featured, and to take home the awards for Best Film, Best Performance, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and of course, The Audience Choice Award.

Winners for Best Performance, Best Original Score, Best Special Effects, and other categories will be awarded an engraved plaque, with featured placement on our platform. All films that make Official Selection will be screened at The Electric Theater, April 6th, 2019, from 8pm - 11pm.

The winner of Best Film will take home a cash award in addition to the physical plaque, which will be sent to your place of residence, if you're unable to make it to the physical event.

To enter a film, there is a $10 non-refundable Submission Fee required at the time of entry. This goes toward those who maintain this website, programming, the physical venue, and the awards system.

We're appreciative of our sponsor, The American Motion Picture Society (AMPS), who's influence in cinema began in 1930, then known as The Amateur Cinema League. We deeply appreciate their contribution to this event, and we hope you'll check them out, as they've been at the forefront of supporting independent film making going back almost 90 years.

All films submitted MUST adhere to this Cycle's Theme. If you've created a film that qualifies for submission, please use the button below to submit your entry.
